The "All or Nothing" Protocol
The productivity hack no one talks about.
There’s one hack to God-level productivity and it’s this:
All or nothing.
You should either be so fxcking locked in on one singular thing that the world around you no longer exists or the complete opposite—so not locked in that you’re doing absolutely nothing.
Put simply, you should be doing one thing or doing no-thing.
And this method simply won’t work unless you perform it properly.
You may be thinking… “If I’m doing one thing at a time or nothing at all, how I am going to make any progress?!”
Great question.
This prompts us to go deeper into what it means to actually implement the “all or nothing” protocol into your daily life.
We’ll look at it etymologically.
All
Definition: the whole of one's energy or interest
So, when I say you need to be locked in for this to work, I mean it. Every single part of you—physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually—needs to be dialed in on the task at hand and nothing else. The energy flows where the attention goes. If every last bit of you is focused on what you’re doing right fxckng now, you’re able to access all of the energy you’ll ever have. Undoubtedly, this is much better than performing tasks halfway in and halfway out. Also, multitasking is for less intelligent individuals than yourself, do not partake in it.
TLDR; if you’re doing something, it must be done with all of you.
That’s one half of the equation.
The other is obviously, well, nothing.
Nothing
Definition: not anything; no single thing
We’ve established that if you’re doing something, it’s being done with every single part of you. Following that same theme, if you are not doing something, every single part of you should not be doing anything.
Learn to shut it all off. This is what most people never seem to figure out. Putting everything you have into something eliminates the need to worry about any “what if” situations simply because you truly gave it everything you had. This leaves no room for anxiety or self-doubt.
TLDR; if you’re doing nothing, nothing must be done with all of you.
In essence, whatever you do (or don’t do) must be done with everything you have.
Otherwise, you’re doing what everyone else is doing: wasting time.
Thank you.
